We all had a fantastic weekend showjumping down in the western district at Hexham. The Caramut Riding Club put on a great weekend of jumping for young horses and young riders with two rings of heights from 50cm through to 1.20m.
Our team had a very enjoyable weekend with all of the horses and riders stepping up to jump in some bigger classes for the first time. Barry and Blondie placed in three out of the four 90cm events coming home with a 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Emily Stirling and Heart of England jumped some great rounds in the 70 and 80cm events and Dom Stevens rode her lovely horses CP Safari and Twins Love Song around the 1.00m to 1.20m classes jumping some lovely clear rounds.
I took Le Belvedere out for the first time in 7 months after some time out in the paddock to grow. He jumped very well all weekend in the 1.10m and 1.20m classes. Carisma had a canter around the 1.20m on Saturday jumping a lovely clear round and I also took Oscar out for the first time just jumping around the 70cm and 80cm classes.
Congratulations to all of the competitors who had a successful weekend and thanks once again to the Caramut Riding Club and their wonderful committee for putting on a very well run event.
